The short version: I will never sell, rent, or share your personal information. That includes your name, email address, phone number, and anything else that identifies you. Universe Courier is a personal project, not a business that makes money from data.

What's collected

If you're just visiting

You don't need an account to look around, and nothing on these pages asks for your information. A few things happen in the background:

  • Your color theme choice is saved in your own browser so it's there next time. It never leaves your device.
  • The web host keeps standard server logs, such as IP addresses and the pages requested, for security and troubleshooting.
  • Fonts load from Google Fonts, so Google sees a basic request from your browser.

There are no ads, no tracking pixels, and no analytics profiles.

If you sign up for messages

To send you messages, Universe Courier needs a little information from you:

  • Your name and email address, for your account.
  • Your phone number, if you choose to receive messages by text.
  • Your settings and any notes you add to your messages.
  • A record of the messages sent to you.

This is used only to run the service: delivering your messages, showing your history, and keeping your settings. Your messages and notes are visible only to you.

Who else touches your data

Universe Courier relies on a few service providers to work: a cloud host where the site and database live, and a messaging provider that delivers texts and notifications. They handle your information only to provide that service on my behalf, and they aren't allowed to use it for anything else.

No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties.

The only exception to any of this would be if the law required it, such as a valid court order.

Text messages

You'll only receive texts if you sign up for them. Messages arrive at random, usually every day or two. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP at any time to stop receiving texts, or HELP for help.

Your choices

  • You can ask to see the information Universe Courier has about you.
  • You can change your details or stop messages at any time.
  • You can ask to have your account and everything in it deleted, and it will be.

Universe Courier isn't intended for children under 13, and doesn't knowingly collect information from them.

Changes and contact

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted here with a new date. If the change is significant, people with accounts will be told directly.
